HOLLYWOOD - April 15, 2004 - Vista Healthplan, Inc. (VISTA), a health benefits company, announced today mid-year enhancements to its Medicare Prime Advantage product in Palm Beach County. The benefit enhancements are effective May 1, 2004 and available to Medicare eligible individuals in Palm Beach County. VISTA's Medicare Prime Advantage plan has no copay for inpatient care at participating hospitals in Palm Beach County. Additional benefit plan enhancements include no copay for x-rays and no copay for outpatient surgery conducted at a participating ambulatory surgical center. The copay for formulary brand name drugs has been reduced from $30 to $15. The benefit plan also features no copay for days 1 through 10 in a skilled nursing facility and no copay for physical, speech and occupational therapy conducted at a freestanding facility. "The enhancements to VISTA's Medicare Prime Advantage plan bring additional value to consumers and are aligned with our strategy to increase membership in Palm Beach County." said John Fanning, vice president of Medicare Sales. "We are committed to reducing our member's out-of-pocket expenses and in fact are the only plan in the county that has no hospital copay for in patient care at participating hospitals in Palm Beach County.
